PLUNGE POOL CONSIDERATIONS

  • A Soake® Pool is a small deep pool, also known as a plunge pool (or a cocktail pool, a small pool or a spool). A Soake Pool is a hybrid between a traditional pool and a hot tub because it can be used year round and heated to hot tub temps in cooler weather.

  • Soake Pools are highly engineered precast concrete pools. They are fully tiled on the interior upon arrival.

  • Our 7’×13’ is our largest pool. The outside dimensions of the 7’×13’ is 7'10" x 13’10”. The structural interior depth is 59” and the water depth is between 52”-54”.

  • Your Soake Pool will be a great addition to your backyard!

    The total installed project costs can vary widely depending on a number of factors. The starting price range for Soake Pool is $27,000-34,000. This includes the fully tiled pool and the equipment needed to run it, but does not include heater, cover or other add-on options.

    Delivery, permitting and site work are also not included in this price. Installation costs can be significant and vary.

  • Yes! Soake Pools are specifically designed for year-round use, even in cold climates. Unlike traditional swimming pools that are typically closed for winter, Soake Pools combine the benefits of a swimming pool and a hot tub in one compact, precast concrete pool design. With the appropriate heating system, the water can reach temperatures up to 104°F for comfortable outdoor soaking throughout the winter.

    What sets Soake Pools apart is their combination of durable, fully tiled concrete construction, efficient heating options, insulated cover options, and app-based temperature controls. Their smaller water volume makes them easier to heat and maintain than traditional full-size swimming pools.

  • The Full Plunge and Pool with a View water depth is 52”-54”.

    The Medium Plunge water depth is 52”-54”.

    For homeowners interested in hot and cold contrast therapy, pairing a dedicated cold plunge with a heated spool pool allows for easy transitions between hot and cold water.

    Soake Pools combines durable precast concrete construction, elegant design, and year-round hot and cold water functionality to create a personalized backyard wellness retreat.

  • A precast concrete plunge pool can typically be installed in just a few days once the site is prepared. Unlike traditional concrete pools that are built on-site, Soake Pools are manufactured off-site and delivered fully finished and hand-tiled, significantly reducing construction time.

    The installation process includes site preparation, crane delivery and placement, plumbing and electrical connections, and final setup. While on-site installation can take just days, the total project timeline varies depending on site conditions, local permits, contractor schedules, and landscaping requirements.

    Soake Pools typically have a 4–8 week production lead time before delivery, allowing homeowners and contractors to coordinate site preparation while the pool is being manufactured.

EQUIPMENT NEEDS

  • Our package includes a variable speed pump, a cartridge filter, a salt chlorine generator, an automation panel with an app for pool control, and an LED color changing light.

    Many customers choose to add either a gas heater in colder climates like New England, or heat pumps in warmer clients for an additional cost. For cold plunge pools, an AOP sanitation system and a chiller are standard and used in place of a salt water system.

    The equipment can be configured in different ways, but in general, a 4’x6′ area is ample space to contain the required equipment.

  • We use a 260,000 BTU heater.

  • Your licensed electrician will determine this, but typically 50 amps are run to the automation panel. This panel has its own electrical subpanel within it.

    Heat pumps require more power. Please contact us for additional details!

  • Soake Pools® have an ETL listing for the bonding system. Each pool comes with the ETL label, and the ATM certificate and report are available upon request. Bonding lugs and copper wires are installed in NH prior to each shell being poured, and pools are tested for conductivity to ensure they pass.

  • Every town has its own rules and interpretations related to pools and spas. Your town code officer can tell you what the barrier requirements for a Soake Pool will be.

  • We are happy to work with you on best placement. We also encourage you to engage with your landscape designer or installer on this topic.

  • Yes, we can ship anywhere in the continental US!

  • We work closely with every customer to make this determination. When possible we visit each site in person.

    For New England and some NY deliveries, we deliver pools on a boom truck when possible. For deliveries beyond New England, we ship the pool on a flatbed and a local crane is hired to lift the pool from flatbed truck to prepared site.

  • You will need subs for excavation and exterior finish work, a licensed electrician, and someone to connect the pool plumbing from pool to equipment (PVC connections). If using a gas heater, you’ll also need a licensed gas fitter to connect gas.

    In many areas we have preferred installers and people we’ve worked with before. If we haven’t worked in your area before, we are always excited about meeting new potential installers and will work with them to provide all the information necessary for a smooth installation.

  • Yes, our pools are highly engineered with a stamped structural design for installation at any level, including fully above ground, partially in the ground, or flush with grade.
